Duco has been a lawyer since 2014 and focuses on insolvency law in a broad sense. He is regularly appointed receiver by the District Court of Amsterdam and has worked over the years in bankruptcies of small (starting) entrepreneurs, up to leading international companies. Furthermore, Duco has been working for various (banking and non-banking) lenders and leasing companies for quite some time.

As a lawyer, Duco has specialized in assisting companies in dire straits, for example by restructuring debts or resolving a dispute with the bank. His experience as a receiver comes in handy, because as a lawyer it is important to be able to put yourself in the entrepreneur’s shoes. A lawyer should not be blinded by the legal principles; commercial considerations are often also (an important) part of the strategy in a case. Duco is happy to act as a sparring partner in this, to help you find a solution that does justice to the legal principles but also takes your commercial interests into account.
